Information Technology
Information Technology (IT) has become a vital tool in today’s modern society. It can be encountered everywhere and people regard it as a huge part of their daily lives. We aim to prepare our students to face the fast-changing world of the web and encourage them to use their IT skills wisely and sensibly. Our IT consultants and facilitators work with all teachers across the curriculum to develop the required knowledge, skills and attitudes to enhance IT learning.
Our school not only uses IT in teaching and learning, but in all its aspects including administration.
IT in School Administration
In an attempt to reduce time consuming paperwork, our school has utilized the IT system to handle routine administrative procedures. The “Face Recognition Administrative System” supported by the Quality Education Fund is used to check student attendance. We also set up the school’s Intranet, which produces a convenient platform to benefit teachers, parents and students.
Distant Teaching and Learning Scheme
With the generous support from Wun Chuen Sin Kwoon Association and the Quality Education Fund, our school has established the “Wun Tsuen Distance Learning Lecture Hall” to enable our students’ learning experiences to be extended beyond the confines of the traditional classroom. Without stepping outside the school, our students can meet and know other people from different nations and other parts of the web-world.
Computational Thinking
Computational thinking is a process to build up problem solving. Our school has become one of the network schools of the Coolthink@JC scheme this year. The aim of this scheme is to help our students develop computational thinking through coding education. Students will learn about the thinking process to help them transform from consumers to active designers and shapers of the digital future.
Information Technology has become essential and life-changing. With the increasing use of IT technology, our school tries to provide the best we have to all of our students in order to help them remain at the forefront of issues related to Hong Kong and the world.
